I’m in the midst of rethinking and reinventing my life completely.
A scary, wonderful season…
I am currently focused on my physical health,
losing 100 pounds. DONE.
I’m also creating my dream environment…
My life is a wonderful journey.
I used to be well-intentioned, but frankly, unfocused.
It’s all gotten a lot better in past 10 years.
Prayer, the right environments and conversations, and coaching.
I spend my days learning, writing, coaching and creating programs and Internet-based projects.
People think I work all the time, but I take 12 weeks off every year, take lots of naps. I also use cool technology and tools to automate.
I live a blended life working from home most of the time.
The biggest lesson I’m still learning is not living in my “office” 12 hours a day.
Okay, now for the favorites:
Seth Godin (consistently brilliant)
Tom Peters (profundity)
… and about 100 others… :-)
The Beach (unlocks my creativity)
Great Hotels (the difference and the service lessons, amazing)
Salmon, Brown Rice, Vegetables
Roasted Vegetable Dish
I eat a plant-based diet, 20+ years, not a religion
I’ve always loved old cars, planning to start a small collection when I turn 50.
Walking very early in the morning
Launching an idea on the Internet in an afternoon
Starting web-based companies
Designing learning and coaching programs
Designing headers, logos, e-product images
Learning to sing
Something called “Soaking Music” (think instrumental music with spiritual intent)
People who don’t really care
Me, when I’m not hopeful
Waiting in line
Things I don’t really mind:
People who have really helped, and influenced me profoundly:
Bob Wilhite, the prayer guy
C.B. – my first, non-corporate coaching client
Hugh and Callie Williamson
My virtual assistant who protects me from the real world
My clients who taught me what my work really means
yet to be determined
Coolest thing I’ve developed:
yet to be determined
Worst time in my life:
Living on the street in Washington, DC for 3 weeks because I was dead broke and too proud to ask for help.
Best lesson I’ve ever learned:
Being secure in God’s love and personal choice for me in my weakness.
Smartest thing I’ve ever done business-wise:
Purchasing a set of business cards in the spring of 1986 with the words “Personal Success Coach.”
Most intriguing/compelling project:
Building a community of like-minded people who encourage and help one another.
What I know for sure:
Still working on this list…
One thing I know for sure is that I know increasing less…
