Success Today – Fri, March 30, 2018
Listen to this episode:
It’s (Good) Friday,
… and I’m thinking about how what appears to be the end is often the beginning.
I’m meditating on Romans 6-8.
Scripture tells us that Christ endured the cross for the joy set before Him. We are invited to consider Him and gain strength so we don’t faint in the face of life’s challenges.
The beauty of the cross is that it changes everything. It is the eternal statement of God’s love for us, and the power to transform our lives today.
I’m not preaching to you, just sharing a thought that has gripped me.
What is it to die to the “old man”?
To crucify the old ways of thinking and behaving that imprison us and strip away the promise of our future one decision at a time?
How can we live today in newness of life: free, filled with faith, and confident in His love and personal choice for us in our weakness?
The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing in their old lives, but to us who are being transformed in newness of life, it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Wherever you are right now, whatever you are facing, there’s no shame on you and no condemnation.
It’s never too late, and there is hope.
What looks like the end can be your greatest beginning.
Look to the one who is the author and finisher of your faith. Receive forgiveness, new life and the power to live your best life today.
YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.
Always remember that and let nothing in life or death hold you down.
Excerpts from Romans 8:31-39
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I hope you enjoy a wonderful Friday.
See you tomorrow.
